PART 1: INTRODUCTION
Let’s start with you, can you tell us briefly about yourself and your place in Koakuma?
Agnes | Koakuma: Hello everyone! My name is Agnes, I am Koakuma’s Business Development Manager. My role is to speak and create partnerships with investors.
Could you please introduce the Koakuma project and your vision to us?
Agnes | Koakuma: Koakuma is a multiplayer online ARPG game with immersive combat systems and mechanics within a graphics-intensive metaverse. Koakuma is also a GameFi 2.0 project packed with lots to explore and earn and designed for users all around the world where players fight in epic battles using specially designed NFT assets.
Players act as a witcher in the game and will acquire various digital assets as they proceed through the Koakuma metaworld. The game is unique with various features that will ensure long-term gameplay participation with legendary equipment, mysterious dungeons, ancient treasures discoveries and challenges throughout.
Our vision is to make a completely decentralized autonomous MMO ARPG game in the metaverse. It is an extremely difficult thing to make happen. It needs a robust infrastructure to ensure that the entire Metaverse system can run smoothly. It needs a solid worldview structure, interesting and rich gameplay that players can really immerse themselves in. It needs a team of people who are fully committed to seeing this as a career and a strong community who are closely aligned to create it together.
Finally, a robust system of self-governance is needed to ensure that the world can run consistently and steadily. If someone is willing to do it, then they must be technical geeks, a group of people who are passionate about games. In order to achieve this goal, we need to break the barriers between traditional games and blockchain games, bring fun blockchain games out of this small circle and present them to a wider range of players.
Each project has interesting stories before it is created. So can you tell people about the story that gave you the motivation to build and develop such a great project like yours?
Agnes | Koakuma: Our dream is to create a fantasy continent and run eternally and steadily in the Metaverse. and Our developers are deeply inspired and influenced by Japanese culture. Koakuma means “little devil” in Japan. It symbolizes mystery and playfulness. It’s how and why Koakuma is built.
Could you tell us about the Koakuma team and their background?
Agnes | Koakuma: Our team comes from game development companies,
In order to ensure that we can provide players with a smooth and rich game experience, we have hired many experts with many years of game development experience to make this game
We have almost 20 members including 2D artists, 3D artists, Modeler, Musicians, Special Effect Artist, Action Artist, Game Designer, Programmers, Editors. We will do our best to bring players a high-quality gaming experience.
What does a user need to start playing on your platform? Can we play for free and how will we get a profit?
Agnes | Koakuma: We are a long-term project and we take care of players’ property (money, assets, etc) so we don’t want our players to pay too much at the beginning. We think that requiring players to pay a high fee at the beginning will discourage them from entering the game. Every successful game needs a massive player base so we don’t charge a fee for beginners.
What is the functionality of the project token?
Agnes | Koakuma: $KKMA will be required as the primary form of in-game currency. There are 3 ways our tokens can be used or utilized.
- Players can use the tokens to upgrade equipment, to forge new weapons, to trade in marketplace, etc.
- For users who want to join the game’s governance and vote on the game’s development. They can use the token to vote for the new content, to determine the future of Koakuma. One of our visions is to create a completely decentralized, autonomous game and this can’t be done without the help of every governor. Our players can help shape the Koakumaverse.
- Tokens can also be used for staking, we will provide a profitable staking program and be very careful with liquidity to ensure the price grows steadily
At the same time, we are also actively looking for more solutions to make our token more functional.
Tell us about your nearest plans for this year. What important events do you need to keep an eye on?
Agnes | Koakuma: Last year, we did our first stage- Art Design Concepts /Social Media Presence/ Seed Sale. Now we are in the second stage. We will do our IDO in February then start our first NFT sale. We will do lots of marketing activities to promote our game pre and post-launch. In the 3rd stage, we’ll start our public sale and launch the $KKMA token.
As for the game itself, we are still developing the game and the CBT(close beta testing) version will be released in Q1. If everything goes well, we will release OBT(open beta testing) in Q2 which will include a complete ecosystem, gameplay, token, NFT, utilities, etc. We will launch on PC first. We do our best to ensure the quality of the game.
We’ll upgrade quickly and when the game quality reaches our standard, we will develop in Mobile. In the few years after the release of the game, we will create more content for users and keep updating the game for the long term.
The issue of security is very important for blockchain projects. Do you already have security certificates?
Agnes | Koakuma: We understand the importance of security so this is currently in the works.
When do you have an IDO planned, and where can our users participate? If you have contests or giveaways please share them with us.
Agnes | Koakuma: Our plan is to do the IDO in mid-February. At the moment the market is not good so we will be patient and choose a good time to start.
There will be an NFT Mystery box sale between IDO and the game launch. We will prepare exquisite weapons for players and also the early access of CBT. We will be announcing our contests and giveaways on Twitter and telegram so keep your eyes and ears open for the announcements!
PART 2: COMMUNITY QUESTIONS
Q1 (@archi_kol) : There are 6 characters on the homepage and I noticed that Lynn is the weakest, but has the highest intelligence. Am I correct in assuming that she is the only support in the game, and the concept implies that any character can tank except her?
Agnes | Koakuma: No. Don’t be fooled by Lynn’s appearance, she is a brilliant wizard with powerful attack ability.
Q2 (@Sergobork): Your project looks very attractive, especially the system of crafting and processing materials, as well as medicinal plants. Could you tell me more about the system of crafting? Will it be a recipe-based crafting, what resources will need to spend? Do I need to spend tokens (like $BOD) to create items or consumables will be the resources mined in the game? Thank you!
Agnes | Koakuma: There will be several kinds of roles in the game such as smithy, pharmacists. Players will collect specific materials all around Laria and use these materials, token (BOD or KKMA) to produce products.
Q3 (@Unicap2): Your project’s mission is interesting, it requires a significant amount of user traffic to be sustainable in the long run. What marketing plan do you have in place to build brand credibility for your project? Are you considering a strategic alliance to help you promote your project?
Agnes | Koakuma: We see Koakuma as a long-term project and it’s very important for us to sustain and grow its user base. To ensure this, we made sure to partner with the right people that share our vision and also have a track record in working on projects like ours. We are strategic in our partnerships. We handpick the KOLs we work with to make sure they pass our standards and have the audience we want to target. We are doing a localized approach in terms of promoting the game in TG groups. We started setting up local communities to get future players to talk and get excited about the game.
Q4 (@Kuzegorka): The level of the player and the quality of equipment play a huge role in any game. In the games you were inspired by (Warcraft, Diablo), the skills and tactics of the player himself are a very important factor. Will the skill level of the player himself be important in your game or will the equipment be the determining factor?
Agnes | Koakuma: The answer to that question is both Yes and No. The gameplay system includes 3 parts: Production, Adventure, and Combat, and each part will require different skills. Although the equipment plays a big role in the player's advancement throughout the game. There will be plenty of instances where players will be challenged to strategize and use their skills.
Q5 (@sanec4ek): Koakuma is an open-world game, a new type of blockchain gaming whose goal is map exploration and adventure. Usually, open-world games require hardware with high processing power. Will this be a barrier to adopting the game? Can the novice gamer also experience the game in all its glory?
Agnes | Koakuma: Yes. There will be a challenge but one of our important tasks is to adapt different performance devices. You may see the lower precision texture, a weaker shadow effect, but no worries, you can absolutely play this game.
Developing a game is very complex and requires years of experience. We can’t release the game until it’s fully developed. Our strategy is to finish the goal by collecting feedback from our community and keep updating. So when we finish the big world, the device performance will get better and the price will be lower.
